Shannon Dueck and Ringo Starr Win USEF Developing Horse Test

Ringo Starr made two public appearances on February 11. One was at the Grammy Awards, where the Beatles were honored, and the other was at the Equestrian Sports Production Wellington Dressage show where another milestone for another Ringo Starr was achieved. Shannon Dueck and Ringo Starr won the USEF Developing Horse Test at the ESP Wellington Dressage Sunday, the first in a series of three dressage competitions that are part of the CN Winter Equestrian Festival presented by Zimmerman Advertising.

Dueck, who has competed for Canada in international competition including the 2002 World Equestrian Games is a year round resident and trainer who lives in Loxahatchee, Fla. Dueck and Ringo Starr posted a score of 65.859 per cent to edge Susan Dutta and Currency DC of Wellington into second place with 65.556 per cent. Ringo Starr is a seven-year-old Oldenburg gelding by Relevant is owned by Jean and Nick Vinios who own a farm outside Boston. The USEF Third level Horse of the Year is right on target working towards the goal to compete in the 2008 USEF Developing Horse Championships to be held in September at the Kentucky Horse Park.
