After
a record number of over 100 horses were presented at the horse inspection,
The Palm Beach Dressage Derby started a weekend of nightly parties with
the Markel “Inspection Reception” Hosted by Mary Phelps,
of Markel and DressageDaily, and Cindy Snowden, in honor of Lisa and
Stephanie Wilcox, who have just returned to America. With a spread of
food, wine and champagne, organized by JJ’s Café, judges,
riders, owners and grooms awaited their ride times in the Palm Beach
Derby official’s tent, and had a chance to visit with each other,
and welcome Lisa home. Klaus and Judith Balkenhol were on had to greet
the Olympian and World Equestrian Games USET Team member, who has for
the last 12 years been training, showing, and competing in Europe representing
the United States.

But for this weekend, Lisa will be enjoying being a spectator at the Derby, and has accepted the very important task of judging the PhelpsPhotos.com Palm Beach Derby Leadline Class Sunday, 11:15 prior to the USET Luncheon and CDI Grand Prix Freestyle.
